Confirmation Sunday
Confirmation will be on May 7 during the 9:30 service. As part of the service, the confirmands will be reading their prepared faith statements as confessions of their faith. They will also be committing their lives to followings Jesus and will be blessed in that confession and commitment. Please keep our confirmands in your prayers as they prepare for this day.
A Celebration of Confirmation
“Confessing Jesus”
May 7, 2023
Please CLICK HERE to download the service notes.
As We Gather Jesus said, “I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges Me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God (Luke 12:8).” Every day, each of us is called upon to confess Jesus by what we say and what we do. Today we rejoice as nine young people publicly acknowledge Jesus, and are confirmed and blessed in their faith. May God bless our confirmands in their confession and bless each of us in the confession of our lives.

Live-stream and in-person worship begin at 9:30 AM. Please CLICK HERE to download the link to the live-stream itself.
Online Worship and YouTube
We have had occasional problems with getting the service to livestream on YouTube. We apologize to those who were unable to tune in as a result. We’re seeking solutions to the problem so that all of us can count on the service being reliably available.
There are two things to keep in mind if this should happen again:
- The service is also streamed on Facebook. You do not need to have a Facebook account to watch the service on Facebook, but, similar to YouTube, if you are not signed in, you cannot make comments and prayer requests. CLICK HERE for the link to St. John’s Facebook page.
- Even if the service is not livestreamed on YouTube, it will be available on YouTube later in the day. You can view the service and worship later. The sermons are also extracted as separate YouTube videos for later viewing and reviewing.
Hearing Aids to Hear the Shepherd

This list will continue to be updated, so if you have a resource that you have found helpful and would like to share it with the congregation, please contact Pastor Mike.

National Law Enforcement Week
Once again, we will be honoring our law enforcement community during the week of May 14-20. Team Aaron is asking you to consider donating healthy snacks/treats to be added to our treat baskets that will be delivered to all nine agencies during the week. Donations can be dropped off in the church office. Thank you for helping us support our law enforcement heroes!
