As We Gather
We continue our series “Jesus is Better”, a study of the letter to the Hebrews. This letter is actually a written sermon to believers who were struggling with their faith. They were being tempted to go back to a life without Jesus, a life rooted in the unfulfilled promises and pictures of the Old Testament. The writer of this letter seeks to show them in many ways that Jesus is better, not only better than what they had before, but better than everything.
We come to the culmination of the “Hall of Faith” that we looked at last week. The list of faithful people concludes with Jesus. The writer encourages his readers to consider the great cloud of witnesses, but above all to set our eyes on Jesus. Jesus is not only the example of faithfulness; He is the means of our faithfulness as well; strengthening, renewing, enabling and empowering us to follow Him in faith.
We will celebrate Holy Communion at this service.
Live-stream and in-person worship begin at 9:30 AM.

Mission India Support.
We are blessed to be able to partner with Mission India and support the amazing work that God is doing in bringing people into the kingdom in the face of opposition and persecution. In worship this month, Pastor Mike is highlighting the results of our partnership for this past year.
After July 2, we will determine how many we will be able to sponsor this year depending on the funds received for Mission India. If you would like to support this work, please mark your special offering “Mission India,” whether you make your offering online or by check.
May God bless the work of Mission India and the growth of His kingdom!
Sunday Bible Classes will resume in August.

Aaron Comfort Dog wants you to know…
NEW: LCC Coloring Book for all ages!
From LCC: “Our brand-new coloring book will soon be available, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share it with you! Mental Health is so important to us which is why we decided to create a coloring book for all ages featuring 20 of our LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs.”
According to the Mayo Clinic… “Coloring is a healthy way to relieve stress. It calms the brain and helps your body relax. This can improve sleep and fatigue while decreasing body aches, heart rate, respiration, and feelings of depression and anxiety”
Tune in to LCC K-9 Facebook on Wednesday, June 21st at 7pm CST for a Facebook live event with John Schlimm (“Extraordinary Dogs”) were we will be discussing the coloring book, mental health and revealing to the public which 20 LCC K-9 Comfort Dogs are being featured in the coloring book.
Could St. John’s handsome boy, Aaron be featured again? Watch the Facebook live event on the 21st and see! Wouldn’t that be fun! Each coloring book if pre-ordered and picked up at the LCC K-9 Conference in July will be $3.00 per copy for affiliates only. Otherwise they are $5.00. Please contact Christy in the church office by June 26th if you are interested in pre-ordering a copy or copies so that we get the pre-order price.
