We are continuing our walk through the Gospel of Matthew, seeking to grow in understanding God’s Word and what it means in our lives today. This Wednesday, May 6, our theme is “What’s in a Name?” We’ll be looking at Matthew 1:18-25.
This account of the angel’s appearance to Joseph in a dream is normally associated with Advent and Christmas. But the biblical truths in these few verses are timeless and deep, revealing our Savior through the two names mentioned here: “Jesus” and “Immanuel.” We’ll unpack these names and this event in Joseph’s life that speaks volumes into our lives today.

The Mission Farm is looking for a few good scarecrows; to overlook and protect the Farm and ward off the terrible, hungry, crows, who eat our garden seeds. We thought we would ask the people of St. John’s to help us out, by creating some fun and competition. Please help us SCARE the crows away.
