I Will Betroth You To Me Forever
Does God still love us when we sin? Does He still care for us? Does He still seek us out to draw us back to Him? The answer to these questions is a resounding yes. Our God is a God of grace and mercy, who has promised Himself to us, not because we are deserving in any way, but simply because He is a God of grace and love. The story of the prophet Hosea and his wife Gomer is a powerful illustration of the grace-filled covenant of love which our God has made with His people. We as church are the bride of Christ, betrothed forever to the one who has established a covenant of love with us by His death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. Today we commission our new comfort dog, who is named for Gomer, the wife of Hosea. May our Comfort Dog ministry continue to bring the comfort of Christ to those who are hurting, and provide a picture of the grace of our loving God.
