He Humbled Himself
Our final road hazard looks back at us in the mirror each day. Our sinful self-centeredness stands in sharp contrast to the attitude of Christ that led Him to take up a cross. No obstacles or hazards could impede His progress on the road that led Him to the cross, for He “made Himself nothing” in order to achieve salvation for us all. May the Holy Spirit work this mind of Christ in each of us.

Lent is a journey. The Christian life is a journey. Along our journey through the wilderness of life in a fallen world on the way to the promised land, there are dangers. Road Hazards that can derail us and send us spiraling into a ditch. The Good News is that Jesus is with us and calls us to let him drive.
