This Week’s Memory Verse
We were therefore buried with Him through Baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. ~Romans 6:4
This Sunday: This week, we begin a new worship series “Pursuing the Good Life.” We will look at the words and ways of Jesus, about what we value, and how we spend it. We will look at our lives in terms of how we are investing and how we are spending the “capital” or “resources” that we have. What resources are we talking about? We’ll look at our spiritual, relational, physical, intellectual and financial resources. Are we keeping these in the proper priority? Are we spending these resources, this capital, in a way that leads to the “good life”?
As a companion to this series, we encourage you to read the book “Oikonomics” by Mike Breen and Ben Sternkee. Copies are available in the church entryway for $10. It can also be purchased as an e-book (Kindle) for $5.99.
- Micah 6:1-8
- Philippians 4:10-13
- Mark 10:17-31
