This Week’s Memory Verse
Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name. ~John 20:30-31
As We Gather
Jesus is Lord of all. One of the ways in which this is seen in His ministry are the signs He performed, His miracles. He shows that He is Lord over creation, over sickness, over evil, and even over death. But there is much more going on than merely a demonstration of divine power. Today we begin a new worship series in which we will focus on several key miracles of Jesus, seeking to learn to know Him more and follow Him more closely through what these miracles teach us and show us.
Jesus’ first miracle was performed at a wedding, saving the hosts from embarrassment when they ran out of wine. Why did He choose this setting for His first miracle? What does it say about Jesus? What does it say about marriage?
