This Week’s Memory Verse
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. ~1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
As We Gather
The Mission of God is to bring reconciliation and restoration to all humanity and all creation. But He made the decision from the beginning that He would only carry out that mission through people. We are that people. What does it mean to be the agents of God’s mission? In other words: Who are we? What are we here for?
Today we conclude our series on the Mission of God’s people by focusing on worship and prayer. The goal of all mission is the worship and glory of the one true living God. It’s been said that “Missions exist because worship doesn’t.” The goal toward which we drive is all creation and all humanity worshiping and praise the true God. What does that mean for how we worship and pray today?
