This Week’s Memory Verse
But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. ~1 Peter 3:15
As We Gather
We continue our series on 1 Peter. In Sunday’s passage Peter calls his readers to the new life that Christ has given them – and us! Everything we have, including our lives, is to be dedicated to the will of God, and then used for the blessing of our neighbor as we pursue God’s mission. Today we also celebrate the Ascension of Jesus. He is truly Lord over all, as He reigns in us and through us. How is He calling us to live for His will?
