This Week’s Memory Verse
For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘He will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” ~Revelation 7:17
As We Gather
The book of Revelation contains powerful visions of hope. This Word of God was given to a Church facing hardship, opposition, and persecution. But it held out this message: God wins, therefore we have hope. Our worship series this Easter season focuses on four images from the book of Revelation. These four depictions of Christian hope are given to us to direct our thoughts and hearts to the strength, comfort, and peace that are ours through our victorious Lord Jesus.
The vision we look at on Sunday comes toward the end of the book of Revelation after the present age in which Satan unsuccessfully tries to destroy Jesus Christ’s Church. Satan will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire. The eternal home of those whose names are written in the book of life will be a new heaven and a new earth. God will dwell with His people. All that separates us from a perfect relationship with God will be gone.

Children’s Church Needs Teachers!! After serving faithfully for years, we have a couple of people who are not returning to teach this coming fall. We are looking for new volunteers to teach on a regular basis. Ideally, if you work with a partner you might only teach once a month. Currently we have two classes every Sunday. The first is a group of 2nd through 4th graders and the second group is preschool- 1st grade. All of the lessons are provided for you. There is a teacher’s guide which gives you plenty of options on how to teach the main point for the week. Please call and ask questions if you’re interested! I am more than happy to walk you through the process! It would be so sad if we weren’t able to offer this important ministry to our children and families. Our precious children need you!!
Summer Children’s Church leaders needed!! Some of our Children’s Church leaders are going to be taking a much deserved break from teaching this summer. We are in great need of some church members to step up and teach one or two Sundays this summer. (June, July and August) Husband & wife teams are great! Parents and older children in the family make a great combination as well! Grab a friend from church and jump in together! Please think about serving in this way, pray about it and then call or email Janis King. (jking@stjohnsnapa.org)
The rewards are great!
