This Week’s Memory Verse
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. ~Romans 6:3-4
As We Gather
In marriage, two distinct people are joined together in a covenant of love. What does this mean? How is it an expression of the will and love of God?
Sunday, we begin a worship series on marriage. We will examine what the Bible says about marriage and what this means for our marriages today. We focus on the two most key concepts from the Bible on marriage:
- Marriage is instituted by God
- Marriage is designed to be a reflection of the saving love of God for us in Jesus Christ.
We are also marking the beginning of Lutheran Schools Week. We praise God for the ministry of our school, and that of other Lutheran preschools, elementary schools, high schools and universities.
