This Week’s Memory Verse
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. ~Ephesians 4:15
As We Gather
Today we celebrate the transfiguration of Jesus when Peter, James, and John witnessed the glory of His divine nature radiate through His human flesh. The glory of the transfiguration is a preface to the glory of the cross. From the Mount of Transfiguration, Jesus sees Jerusalem. He comes down from one mount to make His way to another to bring about our forgiveness and salvation.
