The new order by Governor Newsom has shut down in person worship in 30 counties in our state, including Napa County.
Our Sunday worship return to one live streamed service at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings. (The Wednesday Night service will continue to be streamed at 7:00 PM on Wednesdays.) As before, the service will be blended, with elements of both traditional and contemporary worship, hymns and songs. The service this week will not be a communion service. The next communion service will be July 26. Pastor Mike will explain more about what this means at this week’s Wednesday Night Worship and will answer questions submitted by the chat stream.
Please go to this page (https://stjohnslutheran.net/live-streaming-worship-at-st-johns/) for information regarding the 930 service, to download the handout, and to link to the live stream itself.
Training Streaming Technicians
We will continue to stream the Sunday services from the sanctuary so that we can continue training streaming technicians. We currently have two streaming techs. For the future, we need to build up that team to 6-8 people. If you are interested in being trained as a streaming tech, please contact Pastor Mike.

I hope and pray we will never have to be told we are not essential again….At least this shut down says it’s not okay to be out protesting . Let’s see if it is enforced… I bet liquor stores still are considered as important and won’t be closed…..(priorities right)? I work with a vulnerable population and have someone at home who is very immune compromised. We are doing a disservice to our nation to let these demonstrations continue practicing the same things we are being told not to do with no consiqences and shut down every other business but give them a pass……
