This Week’s Memory Verse
“Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” ~Ephesians 5:15-16
This Sunday: Last fall we journeyed through the book of Exodus, walking with the people of God as they were delivered from slavery in Egypt. This summer we will pick up the story of God’s deliverance of His people and continue their trek through the wilderness – both physical and spiritual – as He leads them at last across the Jordan to the Promised Land.
Last week, God got Balaam’s attention by speaking through Balaam’s donkeys, and asked ourselves how God gets our attention. Today we learn from Balaam’s obedience, that as God’s ambassadors, we speak only the message God puts in our mouth . . . no ad libbing!
