This Week’s Memory Verse
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart!I have overcome the world.” ~John 16:3
As We Gather
We have been richly blessed by our saving God with gifts beyond comprehension. Everything from life itself to salvation to talents, treasure and time – all of these are gifts of God’s grace. But just as Jesus came to serve, we are called to serve as well. Scripture teaches us that God has gifted us so richly so that we can serve Him and others. Our lives are not about ourselves, but are about who we are in Christ. As He came to serve, so we are gifted to serve.
“Gifted to Serve” is our school’s theme for the 2019-2020 school year, based on 1 Peter 4:10. “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Our School staff will be rededicated during the service today.
We are also remembering and blessing the work of those who teach and serve in education throughout our community. During the service we will be inviting all who are involved in education to come forward to be blessed and prayed for.
