The Supremacy of Christ
It is believed that Colossians 1:15 -20 is an early Christian hymn adapted or written by the Apostle Paul as he assures the Colossians of who Christ is and what He has done for their salvation. Paul speaks of Christ's supremacy in creation in the first half of the hymn and Christ’s supremacy in redemption in the second half. These verses contain one doctrinal statement after another about Christ and His authority. So how do we respond? We worship. In awe we praise and “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
