Creator of Heaven and Earth
In the Creed we confess that we believe in “God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.” The Bible also tells us regarding the Son of God, that all things were made through Him (John 1:3). The opening of the Bible depicts the Spirit moving over the waters as creation began. Creation is the work of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. How important is this teaching? How important is that we look at creation as the work of an almighty and wise Creator, rather than the random result of impersonal forces and chance? What difference does it make, as we seek to live our faith today?
