This Week’s Memory Verse
The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their cry. ~Psalm 34:15
This Sunday: We continue our worship series on the book of Exodus: “Our Deliverer.” The people of Israel, enslaved and oppressed in Egypt, needed a deliverer to come and save them. We are in need of a deliverer today as well. Thanks be to God that we have deliverance in Jesus Christ, our Savior. As we study the story of Moses and the Israelites, we will be reminded of our deliver, Jesus Christ, and the call to follow where He leads us.
In Sunday’s passage, Moses encounters God in the burning bush. Their dialogue is all about identity. Moses asks, “Who am I?” in light of God’s call. God answers Moses, and in doing so reveals His name and identity to Moses. What does this mean for us today? Who are we in light of our relationship with God?
