Reclaiming our St. John’s Community
Better Together
A Worshiping Community
October 3, 2021
As We Gather
We conclude our series “Better Together” with a focus on worship. What does it mean that we are a community that comes together to worship? What is happening when we gather – either virtually or in person? This Sunday we celebrate God’s gifts to us in worship and our response to Him when we gather. May God bless us as we worship Him today!
Live-stream and in-person worship begin at 9:30 AM. Please CLICK HERE to download the handout, and to link to the live-stream itself.
We will be streaming on our Facebook Page as well: CLICK HERE
Sunday Morning Bible Class: Worship
Pastor Mike has led a Bible class on Sunday mornings on the topic of worship, and specifically, what in the way of worship is best for St. John’s. The third part of this study will be on October 10 at 11:00 AM. After that session, we will be conducting several surveys on worship.

Ministry Fair October 3
After worship on October 3, we will be having a “Ministry Fair” in the Parish Hall. Representatives from many of the ministries of St. John’s will be present to answer questions about participating in these ministers, as well as being served by them. This is an excellent way to become more connected to your brothers and sisters in Christ at St. John’s.
Foundations: Basic Christian Teachings
Pastor Mike will be leading a seven-session overview of the basic teachings of the Christian Faith. This class will begin on Wednesdays, starting on October 6 through November, at 7:00 – 8:30 PM in Room 8. This is an opportunity to grow in understanding what it means to follow Jesus, and to learn about what it means to be part of our faith community. Foundations is also part of the process of becoming a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. If you have questions about Foundations or would like to sign up, please contact Pastor Mike or the church office.
