Reclaiming our St. John’s Community
Better Together
People on Mission
September 26, 2021
As We Gather
The worship series “Better Together” focuses on what it means to be a congregation. We are looking at the Biblical metaphors and images for the local Church, and seeking to apply these truths to our lives, both individually and as a congregation. Along the way, we are inviting your participation in activities and events designed to bring us together as a Church, so that we can rediscover the Biblical truth that as the people of God, we are “better together.”
The church exists on earth for the sake of God’s mission. We are called to be workers for the harvest, sent by Christ into the mission field of our daily lives.
Our guest preacher will be Rev. Joseph Robb. He serves as the Assistant to the President for Mission Leadership for the California-Hawaii-Nevada District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Live-stream and in-person worship begin at 9:30 AM. Please CLICK HERE to download the handout, and to link to the live-stream itself.
We will be streaming on our Facebook Page as well: CLICK HERE

Ministry Fair October 3
After worship on October 3, we will be having a “Ministry Fair” in the Parish Hall. Representatives from many of the ministries of St. John’s will be present to answer questions about participating in these ministers, as well as being served by them. This is an excellent way to become more connected to your brothers and sisters in Christ at St. John’s.
Foundations: Basic Christian Teachings
Pastor Mike will be leading a seven-session overview of the basic teachings of the Christian Faith. This class will begin on Wednesdays, starting on October 6 through November, at 7:00 – 8:30 PM in Room 8. This is an opportunity to grow in understanding what it means to follow Jesus, and to learn about what it means to be part of our faith community. Foundations is also part of the process of becoming a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. If you have questions about Foundations or would like to sign up, please contact Pastor Mike or the church office.
Pastor Mike on Vacation
Pastor Mike will be out of town from Saturday, September 25 through Friday October 1. Please direct any questions or communication to the church office.
