Celebrating Advent 2020
This will be an Advent like none other. On the one hand, we cannot gather together in person as we would like. On the other hand, we have gotten much better at using technology to connect and to grow.
Please go to this page on our St. John’s Lutheran website for information on all the ways that you can join in our Advent and Christmas celebration this year: https://stjohnslutheran.net/celebrating-advent-2020/
Worship for Sunday, November 29
“Jesus: The Son of David”
The Gospel of Matthew begins with the genealogy of Jesus. These opening verses are far more than a list of names: The family tree of Jesus points to His identity and to the nature of His mission. Our Advent Worship series focuses on this genealogy and the truths it reveals for our lives today.
This Sunday we look at Jesus as the Son of David. We spent several months earlier this year studying and applying lessons from the life of David. We will refer back to David’s life today as we explore what it means that Jesus is identified as the “Son of David.”
Worship will be live stream at 9:30 AM. Please go to this page (https://stjohnslutheran.net/live-streaming-worship-at-st-johns/ to download the handout, and to link to the live stream itself. We will be streaming on our Facebook Page as well: https://www.facebook.com/sjlcnapa
