This Week’s Memory Verse
I thank my God every time I remember you.
Philippians 1:3
As We Gather
The crowds welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem with shouts of Hosanna. During Advent we anticipate the coming of Jesus at Christmas. How do we great Him? Do we great Him with worship? Or are we wrapped up in greeting the coming of the shopping season? Of parties? Of over-indulgence? Advent calls us to worship Jesus. Christmas is about Jesus. Let’s worship Him.
First Reading Isaiah 2:1-5
Psalm 122
Second Reading Romans 13:8-14
Gospel Matthew 21:1-11
Children’s Church: Ramona Kaufmann, Savannah Austin, Sarah Santora
Thanksgiving Worship… What are you thankful for this year? Let’s gather as the people of God to give God our thanks for His gifts to us. We will have a Communion worship service on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, at 9:30 AM. Please bring non-perishable food items for the Napa Food Bank.

There will be a soup supper in the Parish Hall at 6:00 PM.
Upcoming Advent Midweek Services… On December 11, we will have a Health and Healing Service. The “Service of Lessons and Carols” led by the Sanctuary Choir will be on December 18.
Social Media at St. John’s… St. John’s and its ministries stay in contact with the community in many ways, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and our own websites. It takes a lot of effort to keep the websites up to date and to keep the communication current and flowing on social media. The social media team is all volunteer and we could use a few more tech-savvy people to help us out. If you are a fan of social media and would like to help us communicate to our members, parents, students, and community, we could use your help. Contact us by email: sjlcsocialmedia@gmail.com
Also, if you have something you’d like to see us talk about or promote on social media, please use the same contact info.
School Campus Security – As part of our Campus Security Plan, we have implemented a security sign-in procedure during the school day. If you are here at St. John’s during the school day (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday), you need to sign-in and be issued a Visitor or Volunteer ID badge to wear while on campus. You can sign in either in the church or school office.
