Pentecost Sunday
“Sharing Jesus”
May 28, 2023
Please CLICK HERE to download the service notes.
As We Gather On Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate and commemorate the sending of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples, empowering them to proclaim the resurrected Jesus to the people of Jerusalem. By the power of the Holy Spirit, they were transformed from being afraid, to bold, from hiding behind a locked door, to standing before huge crowds. The same Holy Spirit is at work in the hearts and lives of the people of God today, for the same purpose. May the Holy Spirit empower us to share Jesus in our lives today. We will be celebrating Holy Communion at this service. We will be streaming on our Facebook Page as well: CLICK HERE .
Live-stream and in-person worship begin at 9:30 AM. Please CLICK HERE to download the link to the live-stream itself.
Online Worship and YouTube
We have had occasional problems with getting the service to livestream on YouTube. We apologize to those who were unable to tune in as a result. We’re seeking solutions to the problem so that all of us can count on the service being reliably available. There are two things to keep in mind if this should happen again:
- The service is also streamed on Facebook. You do not need to have a facebook account to watch the service on Facebook, but, similar to YouTube, if you are not signed in, you cannot make comments and prayer requests. CLICK HERE for the link to St. John’s Facebook page.
- Even if the service is not livestreamed on YouTube, it will be available on YouTube later in the day. You can view the service and worship later. The sermons are also extracted as separate YouTube videos for later viewing and reviewing.
