“God’s Perfect Timing – God’s Perfect Gift”
We continue to celebrate Christmas. God’s perfect timing and His perfect gift. In our reading from Galatians the Apostle Paul reminds us that God’s plan of salvation happened at the right time, in the right way, and fulfills His righteous purpose. What does it mean for us that we are receivers of His perfect gift? How are we to make use of the blessings of this gift?

The class will be held via Zoom until we are able to meet in person. We meet on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30. Please send an email to pastormark@stjohnslutheran.net to register for the class so he can send you the Zoom link and class handouts.

Dec. 24 – Mission Farm and Christmas Eve
On that first Christmas Eve, the Holy Family was in need of shelter and likely a good meal. It was especially important for the health of the mother and the Child she would deliver. God provided shelter by moving some heart to respond and give them permission . . . and perhaps also to provide nourishment. God also acted to meet a much deeper need for all of us by sending his Son in the flesh to be our Savior from sin and death. Perhaps God is also moving our hearts to show our gratitude by addressing in some practical way real human needs. Might I suggest a gift in support of the Mission Farm, either through a gift by way of going on line to www.CanDoGiveGuide.org and making a contribution on line (Note: deadline is midnight Dec. 31!), or using any of the means available to us to send a designated gift to St. John’s, earmarked for the Mission Farm. While on line the Give!Guide, check out the other organizations that minister to real needs in our county. They are worthy your consideration.
