As We Gather Jesus is the Good Shepherd who calls to His sheep. Are you listening? With all the other information, noise and distractions that come our way each day, how can we make sure to recognize and hear the voice of our Shepherd? Today we will consider some practical ways to stay in the word and hear the Shepherd’s voice.
We will be streaming on our Facebook Page as well: CLICK HERE .
Live-stream and in-person worship begin at 9:30 AM. Please CLICK HERE to download the link to the live-stream itself.

Sunday Bible Classes
“Digging Deeper: The Good Shepherd”
Pastor Mike’s Bible class will dig deeper into the Gospel reading for this Sunday. In John 10, Jesus describes Himself as the “Good Shepherd.” We’ll unpack this image as we dig into this chapter, as well as the rich shepherd imagery throughout Scripture. We meet in Room 10 on Sunday at 11:00 AM.
“Romans: Part 2”
Joel Wahlers is leading a study on Paul’s letter to the Romans after worship in Room 8. He will be making use of a Right Now Video teaching by J.D. Greear.
Confirmation Sunday
Confirmation will be on May 7 during the 9:30 AM service. As part of the service, the confirmands will be reading their prepared faith statements as confessions of their faith. They will also be committing their lives to followings Jesus and will be blessed in that confession and commitment. Please keep our confirmands in your prayers as they prepare for this day.
National Law Enforcement Week
Once again, we will be honoring our law enforcement community during the week of May 14-20. Team Aaron is asking you to consider donating healthy snacks/treats to be added to our treat baskets that will be delivered to all eight agencies during the week. Donations can be dropped off in the church office. Thank you for helping us support our law enforcement heroes!
Dine and Donate
Help support SJLS’s L.E.S.T. by dining at Super Duper Burger (Bel Aire Plaza) on Tuesday, May 2nd from 10:30 AM-9:30 PM. Watch for necessary flier in next week’s E-Vine. Super Duper burger will donate 20% of your purchase. Thanks for your support!
