The Delight of Your Eyes (Ezekiel 24:9-25:14)

Ezekiel was called upon by the Lord to engage is several acted out prophecies, object lessons with his life. This one is by far my least favorite and the most disturbing. The death of Ezekiel’s wife is a picture of the destruction of the temple. But what is particular hard is that Ezekiel is told not to mourn for the “delight of your eyes” as a picture of the justice of the destruction of the sanctuary.
Wow.
So my prayer today is for my wife, my family, and for all ministry families that very often bear a heavy burden and pay high personal costs for the sake of the call to ministry. I am praying for the Lord to bless them in their often unsung, invisible work, and give them joy in their service to the Lord.
What is the Word leading you to pray about today?
