“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
(James 1:17)
This week, we’re focusing especially on being thankful for all the ways God provides for us. Today I am giving thanks to God for the gift of transportation.
Have you ever thanked God for your car? Like shelter, transportation is something that is easily taken for granted. It is assumed to be part of our life – until it isn’t.
But it’s not just cars. While Teresa and I were in Italy this spring, over the course of a few days, we traveled by plane, boat, train, bus, and taxi, and water taxi. We have so many ways of getting from one place to another. How different from life in the times of the Bible, when the primary mode of transportation for the vast majority of people was just their feet.
So it may seem like a rather mundane things today, but still an important one. Thank you, God, for my car!
What are you thankful for today?
