Special E-Vine: St. John’s Fire Response Update

- Local Assistance Center. Here is the website for the Napa “Local Assistance Center” http://napalac.com/ This website provides a clearinghouse for help for all who need assistance. The Center itself is located at 2751 Napa Valley Corporate Drive, Building A, Napa, CA 94558. The phone number is (707) 299-2190.
- St. John’s Fire Relief Fund. You can also contact the church/school office (churchoffice@stjohnslutheran.net, 707-255-0119) in order to inquire about the “St. John’s Fire Relief Fund.” The purpose of this find is to provide assistance to individuals and families affected by the fire. This is a way we can directly and quickly provide help to those in need. (Please note: You don’t need to be part of our St. John’s family to be helped by this fund. If you know of someone who has a need we can address, please refer them.)
- Visit from Team Aaron. If you would like Aaron Comfort Dog to come by for a visit, please contact the church office. If you know of someone whom you believe would benefit from a visit, please refer them.

- How can you help?
- Pray! We know you are! Keep doing it!
- Go on calls with Team Aaron. You do not need to be a formal member of Team Aaron to go with the team when Aaron goes out to visit and bring comfort in the name of Jesus. For more information, please contact Tim or Christy Kramer (707-255-0119)
- Give to Fire Relief
- John’s Fire Relief Fund: Please make checks payable to St. John’s and write “Fire Relief Fund” on the memo line. You may also donate online. Here is the Donate Online to St. John’s link. Use the “Other” option and specify “Fire Relief Fund.”
- CNH District Fire Relief Fund. If you would like to donate to Fire Relief in general, for fire relief needs beyond Napa, please consider donating to the California-Nevada-Hawaii District (LCMS) Disaster Fund. This is the link to make such a donation. CNH Disaster Relief Fund.
- Help SJL Staff who have lost their homes. Please keep them in your prayers.
- Bailey and Jake Spears: Bailey Spears is one of our preschool teachers. Jake is a teacher at Justin-Siena High School. This is a link to a GoFundMe Fundraiser to help them. We also encourage you to consider supporting them directly with gift cards and gifts. - April and Ricardo Mora. April is an aide in our preschool. She and her husband also lost their home in the fire. We encourage you to consider supporting them directly with gift cards as well. - Other Organizations. There are many other opportunities to support financially, through organizations, gofundme.com, youcaring.com, and other websites. Please support as the Lord leads you.
- Napa COAD. We are participating with Napa COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster). We will have a representative at the next COAD meeting on Monday. We will keep the St. John’s family informed of way in which we can be of assistance, and opportunities to serve.
- Work Crews: It is too early for Work Crews for either here or in Sonoma County. We will let you know if a need arises that can be met by people from our St. John’s Family.
