Serving in an OUT-ward direction means much more than serving through our congregation. We can serve in many ways in our community, individually, or as part of another community agency. To put it simply, Christ came to serve, and so we serve. We are called to be a blessing to our community, and wherever we happen to be.
Last month we did an informal survey of those in worship regarding how they are serving as in the community, that is, outside of St. John’s. Below is a sample of the response. To see the complete list, please to here

Mission Farm – Food Bank | Help less fortunate families, show community that St. John’s cares. This shows our appreciation for the Lord’s blessings on our family |
N.V. Horse Rescue – care and feeding, saving from slaughter | This is a blessing in our community |
Queen of the V. Hospital Volunteer, (visit, give reading material, give comfort and company | This gives back to the community and brings a smile or comfort. It is a great feeling. |
