Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity
On Kaua’i, 41% of households are living in what are considered unaffordable housing situations. Habitat for Humanity has completed the infrastructure of the ‘Ele’ele Iluna Subdivision Project with the goal to build 107 new affordable homes. They have also purchased additional land which will be ready for future builds in 2020.
Type of Work
This Travel & Build trip will include various stages of new home construction for a group of homes in Phase 2, Increment B of the ‘Ele‘ele Iluna Subdivision. Depending on the current stage of construction, the activities may include: foundation, framing, painting, installing fixtures, siding, roofing, installing cabinets, finish work. We will have a more concrete idea of the tasks at hand when we are about 2 weeks out from our departure date.
