This Week’s Memory Verse
There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. ~Galatians 3:28
As We Gather
We live in a world too often marked by tragedy, loss and heartache. We experience this in our own lives, and we see pain and hardship in the lives of others. If God is all powerful and all loving, why does He allow these things to happen?
First Reading Genesis 50:15-20
Psalm Psalm 13
Second Reading Romans 5:1-8
Gospel Luke 13:1-9

Please prayerfully consider serving once every two months so this ministry may continue. God Bless you to be a blessing to others. GIVE THE GIFT OF A BIBLE TO A PRESCHOOL CHILD… If you attended church as a child you may have received your first Bible from your church family. How old were you? Do you still have that Bible? Because St. John’s Lutheran Preschool is a ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church, we would like to foster a relationship between congregational members and preschool families. We have 65 children in the Preschool this year. If you would like to be a blessing to one, two or more children and their families this year, we would like to connect you to the child and their parents. It is our hope that every child will receive a Bible and connect with one or our church families. We will have a table set up on the patio on Sunday, September 15th after the early and late services.
You can find a flyer with more information in the church narthex, the church office, the school office, or the preschool office. For more info contact Janis King.
School Campus Security – As part of our Campus Security Plan, we have implemented a security sign-in procedure during the school day. If you are here at St. John’s during the school day (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday), you need to sign-in and be issued a Visitor or Volunteer ID badge to wear while on campus. You can sign in either in the church or school office.
Needed: Projector Techs for 10:15. We are looking for several additional projector techs for the 10:15 service. Training and mentoring will be provided. If you are interested, contact Pastor Mike (pastormike@stjohnslutheran.net) or Dawn Wahlers (dwahlers@stjohnsnapa.org )
