This Week’s Memory Verse
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. ~Colossians 3:16
As We Gather
Many Bible are printed (or appear online) with the words of Jesus in red. This is a way to draw attention to the voice of our Savior. But our Lord would have us not only reading or hearing His words. He wants us to take them to heart, to integrate them in our lives, and to put them into practice.
On Sunday we enter the “serving” week of the Red Letter Challenge. We follow a serving God. Jesus pointed out to His followers that “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to offer His life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28). We are called to serve in imitation of our Lord, so that His love to us would flow through us. How are you being called to serve this week?
First Reading Isaiah 42:1-4

Second Reading Romans 12:3-8
