This Week’s Memory Verse
Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast–as you really are. For Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed. ~1 Corinthians 5:7
This Sunday: We continue our worship series on the book of Exodus: “Our Deliverer.” The people of Israel, enslaved and oppressed in Egypt, needed a deliverer to come and save them. We are in need of a deliverer today as well. Thanks be to God that we have deliverance in Jesus Christ, our Savior. As we study the story of Moses and the Israelites, we will be reminded of our deliver, Jesus Christ, and the call to follow where He leads us.
Sunday we focus on the deliverance at the Red Sea. The Israelites felt trapped with the Egyptian army on one side and the Red Sea on the other. But God calls them to faith, to trust in His power alone. We too are called to radical trust in the God who saves.
· Exodus 13:17-14:31

· Called to Glory: Our brother in Christ, Gary Rawlins, passed away last weekend. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s on Tuesday, October 21st, at 11:30 AM. We thank God for his faith in Jesus Christ and rejoice in the victory Christ won for him through the cross and His resurrection. Please pray for comfort and peace for his family and all who mourn.

When purchasing your Halloween candy, consider picking up an extra bag and bring it to the school office. Girl Scout Troop #10862 will set up a bin at the school office for collections. Also, if you find you have a little extra candy left after all the festivities, bag it up and bring it in.
