This Week’s Memory Verse
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life,
and have it to the full. ~John 10:10
This Sunday: Today we continue our worship series “Pursuing the Good Life.” We will look at the words and ways of Jesus about what we value and how we spend it. We will look at our lives in terms of how we are investing and how we are spending the “capital” or “resources” that we have. What resources are we talking about? We’ll look at our spiritual, relational, physical, intellectual and financial resources. Are we keeping these in the proper priority? Are we spending these resources, this capital, in a way that leads to the “good life”?
As a companion to this series, we encourage you to read the book “Oikonomics” by Mike Breen and Ben Sternkee. Copies are available in the church entryway for $10. It can also be purchased here as an e-book (Kindle) for $5.99.

Mission India: Please keep our Mission India Literacy trainer in your prayers. As announced in church last Sunday, we have met the goal for financially supporting our trainer for this year. But we are still collecting support for Mission India which will go toward supporting other literacy trainers. To support this ministry financially, please make out your check to St. John’s. You can use the designated offering envelopes or write on your check that it is for Mission India. For more information about our partnership with Mission India and the opportunity to change lives and draw them to Christ, see the display in the church entryway.
