This Week’s Memory Verse
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ~Ephesians:6:10-11
As We Gather
Are you tired? So busy that you feel worn down? Too much work and not enough rejuvenation? In our reading from Isaiah, the prophet speaks of the Lord as one who gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak. May God strengthen and bless us today as we worship Him!
This Sunday is also “Scout Sunday.” We praise God for all scouting, as well as our Troop 83 and Pack 183. There will be scouts serving in various capacities in worship and we will have the chance to lift up scouting in prayer today.
Old Testament Isaiah 40:21-31
Psalm: Psalm 147:1-11
Epistle 1 Corinthians 9:16-27
Gospel Mark 1:29-39
