This Week’s Memory Verse
Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf. ~1 Corinthians 10:16-17
As We Gather
The Corinthian Christians were blessed with every spiritual gift (1 Cor. 1:7). Yet, as we heard last week, they fought over who had the greatest gift. In today’s reading from chapter 13 Paul shows them the most excellent way to use the gifts endowed by the Holy Spirit. Although all the gifts of the Spirit to the Church are to be treasured, the greatest gift is love in Christ. We are called to live out our relationships with each other reflecting the love of Christ.
Psalm Psalm 103
New Testament 1 Corinthians 12:1-31a
Gospel John 17:20-26

When We Need God’s Love Most…When do we need God’s love most? Of course we need that love every second of our lives. But at times God’s love is especially precious to us, times when: we lose a loved one; life becomes so confusing that we do not know where to turn; we are dealing with a chronic illness; or life just becomes meaningless and depression sets in. At times like these, it is very important to have someone who cares. Our congregation has trained seven lay people, Stephen Ministers who offer a ministry of Christian caring for those in need. To request the ministry of a Stephen Minister, contact Penni Cremen email@example.com or Pastor Mark firstname.lastname@example.org
