This Week’s Memory Verse
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. ~1 Corinthians 10:13
As We Gather
The season of Advent is about waiting in hope for the coming of the Savior. We commemorate our Savior’s birth over 2000 years ago. We celebrate His coming and dwelling among us today. We anticipate with hope His appearance in glory in the resurrection.
Our worship series for Advent and Christmas will explore the answer to the question “Who is Jesus?” by focusing on the genealogy of Mary’s son as it is given to us in the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew 1:1-17. Each week points us to a different aspect of His identity and the blessings that identity brings as we follow Him. Today we look at Jesus as the Son of Solomon. What does this mean for us today?
Old Testament 1 Kings 11:1-10

New Testament 2 Timothy 4:6-8
