This Week’s Memory Verse
I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. ~Philemon 1:6
As We Gather
Our worship series in April will focus on the four little books of the New Testament. Although these four books are rather brief, each one only one chapter, they are loaded with rich biblical teaching pointing to our Savior and what it means to follow Him.
Is Christianity primarily about believing the correct doctrine? Or is it primarily obedience to God’s commands? Or is it mainly about loving other people? Sometimes these three emphases are set at odds with one another, but in this brief letter John holds all of these together for his readers – and for us in a call to walk in truth, obedience and love.
First Reading Acts 2:14a, 36-41
Psalm: Psalm 119:9-16
Second Reading 2 John 1-13
Gospel John 14:15-27
Children’s Church Teachers: Joy Dahl, Lindsey Engelbracht, Kristi Carey, Danielle Irwin
