This Week’s Memory Verse
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God. ~Psalm 42:5
As We Gather
The Psalms are the most enduring expressions of the prayers, petitions and praise of the people of God, some having been in use for over 3000 years. But the psalms are not just a testimony of the faith of the saints of the past; they are given to us to shape and give voice to our faith today.
Psalm 46 is a prayer of trust in God as a refuge. There need be no fear for the people of God, because our God is a strong fortress.
