Please continue to pray for those fighting the fires, those who have been evacuated and those who have lost much.
The church facilities (both St. John’s and Mision de Jesus) are fine, although our main campus is currently without power. But many of our St. John’s family have been evacuated, and several, including staff, have lost their homes. Others are waiting to find out. Please keep them in your prayers!
If there are ways in which the St. John’s family can be of assistance, please let us know. I know communication is very sketchy with cellular pretty much non-existent in Napa, and many areas without power, but if there are needs that we can work together to address – a place to go, food, someone to talk to/cry with/pray with, or specific prayer requests – please let us know. You can respond to this post, call the church office, send a Facebook message to me (Pastor Mike), call me (707-738-4448) or any other means. I suggest multiple means given the current state of communication. And we will network to do what we can to help. Please consider sharing this post so we can reach those who are not officially part of our St. John’s Facebook community.
I also want to announce that the “A Reasonable Faith: Christian Apologetics” class for tomorrow (Tuesday) evening is canceled. Instead, I will be in the sanctuary at 7:00 to gather with anyone who comes for a time of prayer, fellowship, discussion and planning of how we can be of assistance to one another and to our community. If you are able, please consider joining us.
Pastor Mike
